Appellate & Supreme Court
Having a second chance on your day in court is what our appellate services are about.
We build appellate strategies in cases that we did not try in the court of first instance. The Polish legal system allows a wide array of arguments to be pursued in appeals, giving a chance to reverse unfavourable first-instance judgments.
We also advise on the final and most difficult instance, recourse to the Supreme Court. It can only be made on narrow grounds and requires significant skill in identifying contentious legal issues.
We are particularly proud of the appellate projects undertaken by our lawyers for:
- a marketing agency in a services agreement dispute with a major contractor;
- a financial institution in a complex dispute involving multi-party settlements and precedent-setting legal issues;
- the owner of a large family business in litigation concerning succession-related settlements.
